Grace Wilson is a folk singer-songwriter from Central Pennsylvania where she was born between pine trees and yellow cornfields. Her childhood home was always bursting at the seams with music, whether it was her mom singing along to musical theater, her dad listening to Spanish folk music, or her sisters fighting over who got to choose the next song to listen to.  Grace found a passion for songwriting after her dad passed away suddenly when she was only 15. During this time, she used songwriting to cope with her grief and listened to artists who had also been through hard times. This was when she turned to John Prine, Joni Mitchell, Odetta, Jean Ritchie, Hank Williams, Leadbelly, Marvin Gaye, Fleetwood Mac, Townes Van Zandt, and other early songwriters for inspiration and consolation. Grace attended Berklee College of Music in 2018 where she developed a love for the Appalachian Mountain Dulcimer and continued delving deeper into her songwriting.

Now at 22 years old, Grace’s debut EP “Willow” tells the tale of a struggling young woman through soaring folk melodies, finger-picking guitar, percussive dulcimer strumming, angelic vocals, and storytelling lyrics. Listeners can expect to relate to and understand the stories told in Grace’s words because they are honest, compassionate, empathetic, and most importantly: genuine. There is nothing Grace loves more than sharing her true self through music, which is why you can trust that she won’t try to be anyone else.
